About the Position
Stellar Technology Solutions LLC, a leading provider of software and outsourced business services to the philanthropic market, is looking to recruit an experienced Software Tester. This person will be based in our corporate headquarters in Stroudsburg, PA.
The Software Tester is responsible for creating, executing, tracking, and reporting comprehensive test plans to ensure system specifications are functioning as intended.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter capable of prioritizing multiple tasks.
Experience with Accounting and Web Based Applications is preferred.
Responsibilities- Develop Test Plan for various Test Phases
- Develop test cases from requirements/design
- Design and manage test data for individual test cycles
- Execute test cases, record results and communicate results to project teams
- Generate status and summary reports
- Help establish test strategies for test automation
- Continually receive training on new and existing systems
- Conduct root cause analysis of identified defects, providing development/business partners with sufficient detail to understand, replicate and resolve the defect
- Maintain traceability between test documentation and requirements
- Work with operational areas to better understand use of systems
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Perform other duties as assigned
Candidates must meet the following requirements- 3 + years experience with software testing
- Accounting/Finance background preferred
- Documentation experience
- Attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must
- Must have strong problem solving skills and high level of initiative
- Understanding of the SDLC model
- Team oriented yet able to work autonomously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products required (Word, Excel and Outlook), the ability to write automated test scripts a plus.
- Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends
